Tif3D Bermudagrass

Setting a New Standard for Greens

Tif3D is one of the newest ultradwarf bermudagrasses developed specifically for putting greens and other precision natural grass surfaces. Its fine texture, dark green color, exceptional density and superior uniformity create a smooth, consistent putting surface with excellent ball roll.

Built for Performance

Tif3D has been extensively evaluated alongside established ultradwarf bermudagrasses, with impressive results. Trials have shown consistent green speeds, excellent uniformity and rapid recovery following aerification, verticutting, scalping and other mechanical maintenance.

Tif3D has also shown less thatch development in a number of trials, potentially reducing the amount of thatch management required. It performs well under typical ultradwarf management programs and has demonstrated promising shade tolerance, traffic recovery and spring green-up.

Under favorable conditions and intensive management, Tif3D has been grown to a puttable surface in as little as 6–8 weeks.

Tested Against the Best

Tif3D has been evaluated at golf courses throughout the Southeast, including East Lake Golf Club, Streamsong, TPC Sawgrass, Atlanta Country Club, Olde Florida Golf Club, Palmetto Golf Club and others.

In trials against established ultradwarfs including TifEagle, MiniVerde® and Champion, Tif3D has shown excellent performance in areas including uniformity, color, ball roll, grow-in, recovery and overall putting quality.

No off-types have been observed to date.

Installation Options

West Coast Turf offers Tif3D in a variety of growing and installation options to meet specific project requirements. Options may include sand-grown sod, standard cut, thick-cut and big rolls. We can also contract grow to meet your course's exact specifications and preferred growing profile.

Mowing	Maintains quality at low heights; recommended 1/8"-1/4" depending on use.
Options	Available as sod, overseeded for winter color if desired, and can be custom grown on specified soil bases.
